MEET JULIA
MFT
Associate Therapist
Hi, I'm Julia
Navigating life in today's world can feel overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes really hard. I work with individuals ages 8 and older, as well as families, who may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, stress, trauma, neurodiversity, family or relationship challenges, life transitions, or questions about identity and belonging.
In a safe, warm, and welcoming space, I use art, play, somatic practices, and conversation to meet each client where they are and support healing, growth, and a deeper connection with themselves and others. Together, we may work on emotion regulation, problem-solving, navigating difficult experiences, strengthening relationships, and most importantly, developing greater self-compassion.
I believe each person is shaped by their unique relationships, experiences, community, and culture, and I approach every client with respect, curiosity, and compassion. As an attachment-focused, experiential, and person-centered therapist, I also work with families to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and build greater understanding of one another.
The therapeutic process and the healing and growth that can come from feeling seen, understood, and supported are deeply meaningful to me. I am continually inspired by the courage my clients bring to this work.
My Education
I hold a Master of Family Therapy from Mercer University and a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College. I am currently an applicant for Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) licensure in the state of Georgia and work with children (8+), adolescents, adults, and families under the supervision of Terris Hagan, LPC, RPT™, CPCS.
